Privacy policy
FirstCrewOps collects as little as possible. There are no accounts, and nothing on this site is hidden behind a form.
What the tools do with your numbers
The calculators and checklists on this site run entirely inside your browser. The wages, hours, and costs you type into the cost calculator are never sent anywhere. They are not stored, and we never see them.
The onboarding checklist saves which boxes you have ticked in your own browser's local storage, so the page remembers your progress if you come back. That data stays on your device, is not readable by us, and disappears if you clear your browser data or use the reset button.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages people find and where they arrive from. It records the page visited, the referring site, and general device and country information.
It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites, which is why this site has no cookie banner. It cannot identify you, and we never see anything that distinguishes one visitor from another.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to software are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination company and its affiliate network may set a cookie to attribute a later signup to this site. That happens on their systems under their privacy policies, not ours. See our affiliate disclosure for the full picture.
If you ask us to email you a result
Some calculators offer to email you your own result. That is optional, and the result is always shown on the page first, so you never have to give us anything to use a tool.
If you do use it, we store the following.
- Your email address, so we can send the result.
- Which calculator it came from, and the page you were on.
- Business type and crew size, if you chose to answer those two optional questions. Both can be skipped, and skipping them changes nothing about what you receive.
- Whether you ticked the marketing box, and when. Asking for your own result is not consent to hear from us again, and we store those as two separate facts.
The data lives in our own database on Cloudflare. Email delivery uses Resend, which necessarily sees your address in order to deliver the message. If you tick the marketing box, your address is also added to our mailing list there. If you do not, it is not.
Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe. You can also email harold@firstcrewops.com and ask us to delete your record, and we will.
What we do not do
- We never require an email address to use anything on this site.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
- We do not pass your address to the software companies we recommend.
- We do not run advertising networks or retargeting pixels.
- We do not require you to accept cookies to read anything.
Your rights
If you have never given us an email address, we hold nothing tied to you and there is nothing to look up. If you have, you can ask us for a copy of it or ask us to delete it, and we will do either without asking why. Email harold@firstcrewops.com.
Children
This site is aimed at business owners and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
